Football Manager 2022 Real Names Fix - Installation

First, you must exit your FM 2022 before proceeding any further with this installation guide.

Step 1 - Delete everything in the 'all' folder.

To locate the 'all' folder on your operating system, go to the following path;

Windows users go to:
Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2022 \ data \ database \ db \ 22xx \ lnc \ all

Mac users go to:
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps >common > football manager 2022 > data > database > db > 22xx > lnc > all

 

22xx is the database number. This can be 2200, 2201, 2210, 2220, 2230, etc. You need to repeat this step every time a new database gets released.
 

 

🚩 Mac OS users.

You can find these folders by clicking, in the Finder, the Go menu in the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder and type the folder path name (obviously inserting your username), then click Go.

You can get to the Library folder by simply selecting Go from the top bar and holding the "alt" key - The Library folder suddenly appears on the drop-down.

 

2) Enable real Brazilian team names and Juventus FC instead of Zebre

Again you'll have to delete files to unlock these.

Windows users go to:
Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2022 \ data \ database \ db \ 22xx \ > dbc > permanent

Mac users go to:
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps >common > football manager 2022 > data > database > db > 22xx > dbc > permanent

22xx is the database number. This can be 2200, 2201, 2210, 2220, 2230, etc. You need to repeat this step every time a new database gets released.

Once you're at this folder, delete the following files;
 

• brazil_kits.dbc
• forbidden names.dbc
• Licensing2.dbc
• Licensing2_chn.dbc
• zebra award.dbc
• zebra turin fake staff.dbc

 

3) Apply FM 2021 Real Name Fix

Copy and paste the FM22 real name fix file that you've downloaded to this path:

Windows users move the files to:
Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2022 \ data \ database \ db \ 22xx \ lnc \ all

Mac users move the files to:
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps >common > football manager 2022 > data > database > db > 22xx > lnc > all

 

22xx is the database number. This can be 2201, 2210, 2220, 2230, 2240. You need to repeat this step every time a new database gets released.
 

4) Start Football Manager 2022

Start your Football Manager 2022 save or start a new game and check if your fake player, competition and club names have changed.

Also, do not worry if you don't see German national team player names changed straight away; changes are usually visible when the national team is selected for a match.
 

 

IMPORTANT

Every time a new update comes out for FM22, there will be a new database folder such as; 2200, 2201, 2210, 2220, 2230, 2240. You will need to repeat all the steps from this guide when that happens in order to have real names in your game.

This is because some files that are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
